Custom acoustic build
"Heck'll Do"
It has been a long time since I built myself a guitar. I made this small bodied acoustic built to spec for myself. It is a little bit bigger than a 00 size guitar, 14 fret neck joint 25.4" scale length with Indian Rosewood back and sides, Engleman Spruce top, Honduran Mahogany neck, Ebony fretboard maple binding with purfling, French polish shellac finish.
Custom Neck For 1920's orpheum banjo pot
1931 Martin OM-18
This old martin is an OM-18 from 1931. It came in for a refret and a bridge reglue it was made with bar fretwire which is quite a bit different than the modern standard fretwire. The guitar had been refinished and the logo on the peghead was sanded off. The serial number on the neck block dates it to 1931
1952 Martin 00-17 Replacement top
A 00-17 typically has a mahogany top. The original one on this guitar was beyond repair. The customer decided to go with spruce for a replacement. After a new top, bridge and fret job this guitar is playing great again.
